MiMMIC is an exciting new project that allows an artist to create and exhibit their work on a matrix of iPads. The touch-screens can be mounted dynamically across 2D and 3D spaces, in a variety of physical settings. This flexibility takes a video artwork outside of it’s traditional context, confined to the rectangular space provided by a monitor or projector. Through a series of artist commissions MiMMIC has been used create works that break out of this paradigm and present video works with in more flexible compositions, configured to sprawl around sculptural and architectural elements on site.

This project was developed in collaboration with award winning artist and curator, Paul Wong. paulwongprojects.com
